Like a good shepherd in the truest sense of the word, a well-known artist from the island lovingly received this 200-year-old property; the old fixtures and fittings and the traditional character of Son Pastor were preserved, reinterpreted and then carefully adapted to the comfort of a modern holiday home. The bricks show their age and some guests may feel as if they have been transported to a different region, where sheep and goats grazed on the 60,000 m² property and water still had to be fetched from the old well. The rustic, covered barbecue area is blackened with soot, a sign of how often it was used. The land with its gnarled olive and almond trees and cypresses is more or less uncultivated. Everywhere it blooms and grows in abundance, while plants sprawl over arcades and terraces and form enchanting seating areas. You simply want to walk barefoot through the fresh grass and admire the hidden and open works of art that are concealed everywhere. The geometrically shaped pool with separate sun terrace also resembles a natural work of art. It is a paradise for children and adults who want to remember what it feels like to live without restrictions.

Minimalists and purists will love the interior of Son Pastor, because it works as if by itself; there is no unnecessary furniture, lots of white, lots of wood, occasional (graphic) art on the walls or scattered around the room. The contrast with the lush vegetation outside creates space and clarity, while large windows let light and air into the whole house. The sunny yellow high-performance kitchen with side-by-side fridge and the library, which doubles as a study, add colour and clutter to the home. This type of environment alone encourages creativity and inspiration. An open-plan living area, divided into several smaller rooms, wraps around the kitchen, which is fronted by a separate utility room with washing machine. In this part of the house there is a large dining table, a fireplace corner, a TV sofa and several simple seating areas, making it an excellent choice for groups. On the first floor, five bedrooms with single or double beds and partial access to a small, exquisite terrace share three ultra-modern bathrooms (two with shower and bath and one on the ground floor). In short: there is plenty of space for guests who appreciate something special in life!

The little-explored north, the Massís dArtà and over 25 kilometres of coastline are just some of the (natural) highlights that make this area so special for families, sports enthusiasts and creative types. If you continue along the seafront, you will discover the island's history: the famous caves, the Torre de Canyamel, the Far de Capdepera lighthouse or the towering Castell de Capdepera fortress. And every Tuesday, many people are drawn to the colourful weekly market in the Plaça del Conquerodor in Artà and to stroll through the galleries and boutiques. You are sure to find unusual souvenirs from local artisans, perhaps Mallorcan ceramics, basketry or Mediterranean specialities. On the edge of the hustle and bustle, many quaint cafés with shady courtyards await you for an enjoyable artistic break...

This 200-year-old, wildly romantic Son Pastor villa estate is located in the heart of the Artà peninsula and just 3 kilometres from the village itself. A 60,000 m² estate presents breathtaking nature all around the house, combining tradition, modernity and art. Shops, charming cafés and restaurants can be found in Artà and in the fishing harbour of Colònia de Sant Pere, almost on your doorstep. In addition, some of the most beautiful hiking trails, views and bathing bays await you: Cala Ratjada and the natural beach of Cala Agulla can be reached quickly via the Ma-15, or you can drive to the villa via the nearby Ma-12 for the smaller Can Picafort/Alcúdia.
